1 Put the verbs in brackets into the correct tense.
Dear Annie,
How are you? I 1) ........ (write) to you from Jamaica. We 2) ........ (stay) at a luxurious hotel with watersport facilities.
So far the weather 3) ........ (be) fine. We 4) ........ (get) great suntans. Each of us 5) ........ (have) a wonderful time. We 6) ........ (spend) most of our time by the sea so far. Right now, the kids 7) ........ (make) sandcastles while Tina 8) ........ (swim).

«I am writing» — Present Continuous: действие происходит прямо сейчас (в начале письма).
«We are staying» — Present Continuous: временная ситуация, живём в отеле сейчас.
«has been» — Present Perfect: «so far» (пока что) указывает на результат до настоящего момента; the weather — л. ед. ч., has.
«are getting» — Present Continuous: загораем сейчас, в эти дни (настоящий период).
«is having» — Present Continuous: have a wonderful time («проводить время») — устойчивое сочетание, которое употребляется в длительном времени, когда речь о происходящем сейчас; «each of us» — л. ед. ч., is.
«have spent» — Present Perfect («so far»).
«are making» — Present Continuous («right now»).
«is swimming» — Present Continuous (while Tina...).
«has been jet-skiing» — Present Perfect Continuous: действие длится «all morning» и связано с настоящим. Допустимо и «has jet-skied», но «all morning» требует длительного.
«are enjoying» — Present Continuous.
«have tried» — Present Perfect: результат («угадай, что!») без точного времени.
«haven't done» — Present Perfect с «yet».
«are going» — Present Continuous для заранее намеченного плана («tomorrow»).
«are looking forward to» — Present Continuous.
«has taken» — Present Perfect с «since we arrived».
«have also shopped» — Present Perfect (we — have; also стоит между have и причастием).
«have already bought» — Present Perfect с «already».
«are coming» — Present Continuous для запланированного будущего (дата назначена).
