№ Past Simple: grammar reminder
Grammar reminder. Past Simple. Complete the rules.
- Regular verbs in the Past Simple usually end in ______.
Example: play → played, watch → watched - Some verbs are irregular. You must remember them.
Examples:
go → went
have → ______
do → ______
write → ______
see → ______ - Negative sentences:
did not / didn't + ______ verb
Example: I didn't go to school. - Questions:
Did + subject + ______ verb?
Example: Did you do your homework? - The verb to be in the Past Simple:
I / he / she / it → was
we / you / they → were
Решение
- У правильных глаголов в Past Simple добавляется окончание -ed (played, watched).
- Неправильные глаголы запоминаем: have — had, do — did, write — wrote, see — saw.
- После did not / didn't глагол стоит в начальной форме (без to): I didn't go to school.
- В вопросе после Did и подлежащего тоже начальная форма: Did you do your homework?
💡 Почему так
В отрицаниях и вопросах Past Simple прошедшее время показывает вспомогательный глагол did, поэтому смысловой глагол стоит в начальной форме.
