- GO: look like they are going to fall asleep — «похоже, они вот-вот уснут». Конструкция be going to + глагол — действие, которое вот-вот произойдёт; подлежащее they → are going.
Finally, Lily sits down to paint
- BE: just like it … in the afternoon — «как оно было днём»; это рассказ о том, что она видела раньше, поэтому прошедшее время: it was.
- SLEEPY: heads looking down — как смотрят?
- SEE: like she … them in the evening — «как она видела их вечером»; вечер уже прошёл, Past Simple: see → saw.
Past Simple: painted (paint + -ed).
Present Continuous: they are waking up.
Present Continuous: they are falling (asleep).
- DO: «Я сделаю это снова завтра» — слово tomorrow показывает будущее время, Future Simple: will + глагол — I will do it again tomorrow.

"Look!" she says to Mum, "The sunflowers look like they are going to fall asleep!" Finally, Lily sits down to paint and paints the sun high in the sky, just like it was in the afternoon. Then she paints the sunflowers with their heads looking down sleepily, like she saw them in the evening. In the morning, Lily goes to the sunflower field to check if her painting is correct. "Oh no," she says, "I painted them all wrong. The sunflowers look like they are waking up, but the flowers in my painting look like they are falling asleep. I will do it again tomorrow".
