В рассказе о себе и семье используют Present Simple: факты и повседневные действия (works, likes, goes). Для связности помогают слова also, often, usually.
My Family
My name is Anna and I am twelve years old. I live in Moscow with my family. There are four of us: my mother, my father, my little brother and me. My mother is a doctor. She works in a big hospital and helps sick people. My father is an engineer. He likes cars and often repairs our old car at weekends. My brother Max is six. He goes to kindergarten and loves playing with his toys. We also have a cat called Tom. In the evening we usually have dinner together and talk about our day. I love my family very much.
