Пересказ составлен по этим пунктам, коротко, в Past Simple.
В кратком пересказе берут только главные события в порядке их появления и пишут в прошедшем времени (Past Simple): decided, went out, looked, found.
One Saturday last winter, John and his friends Amy, Maria, Greg and Andy spent the weekend in John's uncle's old house in the country. It was stormy outside, so they stayed in the living room and chatted. Suddenly, a gust of wind came and the lights went out. Greg said it was just a power cut, and the friends went on telling scary stories in the dark. Then a flash of lightning lit up the room, and Amy cried that Andy was missing. Everybody was confused and scared. They looked for Andy around the house, but he did not reply. Then they heard a loud snore, and the lights came back on. Andy was fast asleep on a big sofa! He woke up and explained that he had felt sleepy, so he had crawled to the sofa so that nobody would trip over him. All the friends were very relieved.
