Stress

Hello everyone! Today I would like to talk about stress.

First of all, what is stress? Stress is the feeling of being worried, nervous or under pressure. It is the body's reaction to a difficult situation. Stress can be caused by many things: too much homework, exams, arguments with friends or family, lack of time, or big changes in our lives. A little stress can even be useful, because it helps us to concentrate and work harder. But long-term stress is dangerous.

Now let's see how stress affects our bodies. When we are stressed, our heart beats faster and our muscles become tense. Many people have headaches, stomach aches and problems with sleeping. We feel tired, can't concentrate and sometimes get angry very quickly. If stress lasts for a long time, we get ill more often because our immune system becomes weaker.

Personally, I feel stressed when I have a lot of tests in one week. I also get nervous when I have to speak in front of the whole class. Another thing that stresses me out is when I don't have enough time to finish everything, and I stay up late.

Fortunately, I know some ways to relieve stress. When I feel nervous, I go for a walk in the park or ride my bike. Listening to my favourite music also helps me to relax. I like to talk to my friends or my mum, because it makes me feel better. Before an exam, I take a few deep breaths and make a plan, so I know what to do step by step. And, of course, I try to go to bed on time, because good sleep is very important.

In conclusion, we can't avoid stress completely, but we can learn to control it. Remember: take care of yourself, and don't be afraid to ask for help. Thank you for listening!
