Ящички: this / that и these / those.
Слова: dresses, berries, blackboard, matches, boxes, buses, camera, child, knives, children, leaf, foot, feet, geese, woman, goose, man, potatoes, mice, people, watch, monkeys, mouse, wolves, ruler, scarves, women
В ящичек this / that кладём слова в единственном числе (один предмет или одно существо): с ними говорим this или that.
В ящичек these / those кладём слова во множественном числе: с ними говорим these или those.
Проверяем каждое слово:
- blackboard, camera, child, leaf, foot, goose, woman, man, watch, mouse, ruler — одно (единственное число).
- dresses, berries, matches, boxes, buses, knives, children, feet, geese, potatoes, mice, people, monkeys, wolves, scarves, women — несколько (множественное число). Среди них есть исключения, которые образуются не по правилу: children, feet, geese, mice, people, women; а также слова на -f/-fe, у которых окончание меняется на -ves: knives, wolves, scarves.
Единственное число — this (близко) / that (далеко). Множественное — these / those. Особые формы множественного числа надо запомнить: child — children, foot — feet, goose — geese, mouse — mice, man — men, woman — women, person — people.
