Правило: в отрицаниях и вопросах much — с неисчисляемыми, many — с исчисляемыми во множественном числе; в утверждении «много» говорят a lot of (и с исчисляемыми, и с неисчисляемыми).
- пример: bread неисчисляемое, отрицание — much.
- утверждение «there is … of milk left» — a lot (a lot of milk — много молока).
- lemon sweets — исчисляемое мн. ч., отрицание: aren't many left.
- утверждение «there are … of teabags» — a lot (много чайных пакетиков).
- chocolates — исчисляемое мн. ч., отрицание: aren't many left.
- cheese — неисчисляемое, отрицание: isn't much left.
