a) Распределяем по группам, ориентируясь на значения слов:
spices (специи) — ginger (имбирь), chilli pepper (острый перец);
snacks (закуски, лёгкие перекусы) — peanuts (арахис), chocolate cake (торт), crisps/chips (чипсы), waffles (вафли);
fruit (фрукты) — lemon (лимон), apples (яблоки).
Фразу строим как в образце: «… is a spice» для одного предмета, «… are snacks / are fruit» — для нескольких (peanuts, crisps, apples — во множественном числе).

b) Вкус: hot & spicy — острый; sweet — сладкий; sour — кислый ([ˈsaʊə]); salty — солёный.
имбирь и перец — острые (A); арахис и чипсы — солёные (D); торт и вафли — сладкие (B); лимон — кислый (C); яблоки — сладкие (B).
Пишем как в образце «Ginger is hot and spicy»: для одного предмета is, для нескольких are.
