4 a) Read the signs below. Now tell a friend what you must or mustn't do when you are in the library, as in the example.
(Таблички New Glasgow Public Library: «No talking in the reading room», «Smoking is prohibited», «Turn off mobile phones», «No food or drinks in the library», «Show your card to the librarian when taking out books».)
Example: You mustn't talk when you are in the reading room.
b) In pairs, talk about what you must/mustn't do when you are at a zoo.
Табличка с запретом (No..., ... is prohibited) → mustn't («нельзя»); табличка с требованием (Turn off..., Show...) → must («нужно»). После must/mustn't глагол в начальной форме.
«Smoking is prohibited» — запрещено курить → You mustn't smoke in the library.
«No food or drinks» — нельзя есть и пить → You mustn't eat or drink.
«Turn off mobile phones» — выключайте телефоны → You must turn off your mobile phone.
«Show your card to the librarian...» — предъявляйте карточку → You must show your card to the librarian when you take out books.
В зоопарке по тому же принципу: запреты — не кормить животных, не шуметь, не ходить по траве; обязанности — выбрасывать мусор в урны, слушаться служащих.
a) You mustn't talk when you are in the reading room. (Нельзя разговаривать в читальном зале.)
You mustn't smoke in the library.
You mustn't eat or drink in the library.
You must turn off your mobile phone.

b) Образец (в зоопарке):
You mustn't feed the animals. (Нельзя кормить животных.)
You mustn't make a lot of noise. (Нельзя сильно шуметь.)
You mustn't walk on the grass. (Нельзя ходить по траве.)
You must put litter in the bins. (Нужно бросать мусор в урны.)
You must keep the zoo clean. (Нужно держать зоопарк чистым.)
