Grammar. Present simple vs present continuous. Put the verbs in brackets into the present simple or present continuous. (Поставьте глаголы в скобках в Present Simple или Present Continuous.)

Решение

Выбираем время по признакам.
Present Simple — привычки, постоянные факты, глаголы состояния (think в значении «считать», like, prefer, believe, know, want) и слова always, usually.
Present Continuous — действие идёт сейчас (now, at the moment).

What do you think of chess? — think в значении «думать, считать» — глагол мнения, Present Simple, вопрос с do. I don't like it, actually, I prefer playing darts. — like и prefer — глаголы чувств, Present Simple.
I don't believe he is a good player. — believe (глагол мнения), Present Simple. He always cheats! — always, привычка, he → cheat + s.
What are Paul and Peter doing now? — now, Present Continuous. They are playing backgammon at the moment. — at the moment, Present Continuous.
Mary and I are going to the drama club now. — now, Present Continuous. Do you want to come with us? — want — глагол желания, Present Simple. My friend and I are having dinner now. — now; have здесь «обедать», действие идёт сейчас: are having.
Carol is flying to Madrid now. — now. Do you know for how long? — know, глагол состояния, Present Simple. She usually stays there for a couple of weeks. — usually, she → stay + s.
