There is a cat on the shelf. — Is there a cat on the shelf? — Yes, there is. / No, there isn't.
There are toys in the garden. — Are there toys in the garden? — Yes, there are. / No, there aren't.
1 There is a frog in the toy box. 2 There are mice in the kitchen. 3 There are horses in the tree house. 4 There is a chimp in the bedroom.
Чтобы из утверждения сделать вопрос, ставим is / are перед there: There is → Is there…? (один предмет), There are → Are there…? Yes, there is / No, there isn't Yes, there are / No, there aren't (много).
- Is there a frog in the toy box? — No, there isn't.
- Are there mice in the kitchen? — No, there aren't.
- Are there horses in the tree house? — No, there aren't.
- Is there a chimp in the bedroom? — No, there isn't.
