- check out of a hotel — выехать из гостиницы (out).
- check off — отметить в списке галочкой: Peter checked off all the items on his list (off).
- check in luggage — сдать багаж на регистрации (in).
- check over — тщательно осмотреть, проверить: the motorist checked over the damage — «автомобилист осмотрел повреждения» (over). Частица out уже использована в пункте
, а в списке каждая частица нужна по одному разу. - check on somebody — проверить, чем занимается кто-то (on).
