Text: «Disappearing World: The Arctic» — about global warming in the Arctic: the Arctic is warming twice as fast as the rest of the planet; the white ice reflects sunlight, dark water absorbs it, so the ice melts faster; more methane and CO₂ may be released from peat bogs; the climate is changing so fast that many animals are facing disaster; some animals (walruses, ringed seals, caribou, reindeer, collared lemmings, Arctic foxes, muskoxen, narwhals, bowhead and beluga whales, polar bears) live only in the Arctic; polar bears have to swim between floating ice to find food and some drown; plants may die out, so reindeer, caribou and muskoxen may starve; the damage will affect the whole planet.
