Task 1. Read the text below and choose the best answer for each space.
A good lesson.
Once a rich lady phoned the manager of the London Opera House. She said that she wanted to have a party and invite a famous singer. The manager 1 (agree) to help her. The singer came to the 2 (lady) house.
The lady was pleased to see 3 (he), but she told him to have supper with her servants. The singer 4 (say) nothing. He went to the kitchen, 5 (enjoy) his supper and after it 6 (sing) to the servants. The lady 7 (not expect) him to stay there so long and 8 (call) him, as she 9 (not be) pleased with the fact that he was not in 10 (she) sitting-room with her guests. "11 you (sing) something for us?" she 12 (ask) him.
"I 13 (be) sorry, but I have already sung. You 14 (see), I always sing for those 15 (person) with whom I have supper."

Рассказ в прошлом, поэтому глаголы стоят в Past Simple.
- The manager agreed — Past Simple, правильный глагол (B).
- The singer came to the lady's house — притяжательный падеж, «дом леди» (C).
- pleased to see him — после глагола нужна объектная форма (A).
- The singer said nothing — Past Simple (A).
- He went to the kitchen, enjoyed his supper — однородный глагол в прошлом (B).
- and after it sang to the servants — Past Simple от sing (B).
- The lady did not expect him — отрицание в прошлом (A).
- and called him — Past Simple (A).
- as she was not pleased — глагол be в прошлом с she (B).
- in her sitting-room — притяжательное местоимение перед существительным (C).
- вопрос-просьба о будущем: «you will sing something for us?» — выбираю C (на фото к этому пропуску два места, возможна опечатка в тексте).
- she asked him — Past Simple (A).
Пропуски
Если события рассказа происходят в прошлом, глаголы ставятся в Past Simple. Перед существительным нужно притяжательное местоимение (her), а после глагола — объектное (him).
