Решение
По подписи ученика нужна только отрицательная форма.
У модальных глаголов отрицание образуется добавлением not после глагола: may not, cannot (can't), should not (shouldn't), must not (mustn't). Вспомогательный глагол не нужен, основной глагол остаётся без to.
- You may go to the cinema today. → You may not go to the cinema today.
- She can see her friend. → She cannot (can't) see her friend.
- You should attend lectures. → You should not (shouldn't) attend lectures.
- Mary must return the book to the library. → Mary must not (mustn't) return the book to the library.
- This student may take my pen. → This student may not take my pen.
- They must follow the rules. → They must not (mustn't) follow the rules.
- The pupils should know these poems. → The pupils should not (shouldn't) know these poems.
- There are some mistakes in her work. → В предложении с there are в отрицании some меняется на no (или any): There are no mistakes in her work. (= There aren't any mistakes in her work.)
- He may not get up early in the morning. — предложение уже отрицательное, менять нечего.
💡 Почему так
Модальные глаголы (can, may, must, should) образуют отрицание с помощью not без do/does. В отрицательных предложениях some обычно заменяется на any или no.
