Form nouns from the verbs below and use them in sentences about your house: paint, heat, build, park
К глаголам добавляем суффикс -ing и получаем существительные:
- paint — painting: There is a nice painting in our living room.
- heat — heating: We have central heating in our house.
- build — building: Our house is a tall building with five floors.
- park — parking: There is a parking place near our house.
Суффикс -ing образует от глагола существительное. У слов paint, heat, build, park конечная согласная не удваивается.

Underline the correct item.

- Утверждение, исчисляемое во множественном числе — some.
- Вопрос — anybody.
- Вопрос — any.

В утвердительных предложениях используем some- (something, somebody), а в вопросах и отрицаниях — any- (anything, anybody). Перед исчисляемым существительным в единственном числе ставим a.

Read the letter and fill in: on, has, are, in, of, and, to, but
The house 1) ... got two floors. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom 2) ... the first floor. The living room and the kitchen are on the ground floor and there is another bathroom next 3) ... the kitchen. The living room is fantastic. It is on the first floor opposite my parents' bedroom. There is a computer on my desk and lots of posters on the walls. I've got a nice bed and a big wardrobe next to the window, 6) ... I haven't got a TV 7) ... my room yet. There is a big garden in front 8) ... the house and there is a garage for our two cars.
- The house has got — has got стоит с he/she/it.
- on the first floor — предлог этажа on.
- next to the kitchen — next to означает «рядом с».
- sofa and a lovely fireplace — перечисление, нужен союз and.
- There are three armchairs — множественное число, поэтому are.
- wardrobe..., but I haven't got a TV — противопоставление, поэтому but.
- in my room — in my room.
- in front of the house — in front of означает «перед».
Для этажей используем предлог on, для места внутри помещения — in. Сочетания next to и in front of нужно запомнить целиком.
