Решение
- Длительное действие в прошлом (смотрел телевизор) было прервано коротким действием (зазвонил телефон): I was watching TV when the phone rang.
- После had нужна форма had finished (Past Perfect), а не had been finished. Работа закончена раньше, чем она пошла домой, а второе действие стоит в Past Simple: She had finished her work before she went home.
- Теннис шёл целый час до начала дождя, поэтому используем Past Perfect Continuous. Дождь начался позже, это Past Simple: They had been playing tennis for an hour before it started to rain.
- Поезд ушёл раньше, чем я пришёл на станцию: When I arrived at the station, the train had already left.
- Длительное действие (шёл по улице) было прервано коротким (встретил учителя): He was walking down the street when he met his old teacher.
