Tell требует прямого дополнения: told me, told us. Say употребляем без адресата или с предлогом to: said Jane, said to Joanne. При пересказе переносим время назад: have broken → had broken, are not coming → were not coming, is working → was working, don't know → didn't know. Указатели this, tonight, today меняются на that, that night, that day. Повеление Don't shout передаём Jane told us not to shout.
