«Has been to» обозначает поездку и возвращение, поэтому в вопросах об опыте и выбираем been to. «Has gone» означает, что человек ушёл и ещё отсутствует: во он скоро вернётся, а в спрашивают, ушла ли мама в магазин. «Has been in» означает пребывание, продолжающееся определённое время; «for years» в указывает на это. «In the army» — служить в армии.
