а) Задаём вопросы о том, что такое обэнто, откуда оно и из чего состоит. Все три ответа есть в тексте: обед в коробке, Япония, рис с мясом или рыбой, овощами и фруктами.
b) . В начале первого абзаца дано определение «lunch served in a box». . Там же указан «the th century». . Перечислены места продажи: theatres, airports, train stations. . Второй абзац называет четыре доли риса, три мяса или рыбы, две овощей и одну фруктов. . «Appealing» значит «привлекательный»: еда должна нравиться на вид. . В правилах детских садов сказано «portions should be small».
c) Выделенные слова раскрываем по контексту: «packed» — уложенный; «basically» — по сути; «nourishing» — питательный; «appealing» — привлекательный; «take great pride» — очень гордиться; «regulations» — правила; «fussy eaters» — привередливые едоки; «run out of» — исчерпать запас; «inspired» — вдохновлённый. «Pickled» объяснено сноской: выдержанный в уксусе или солёной воде.
