Для сравнения двух людей прибавляем к короткому прилагательному -er: older than («старше, чем»); перед длинным прилагательным ставим more: more patient than. Для превосходной степени используем the most: the most sociable. В конструкции «чем…, тем…» обе части начинаются с the и сравнительной степени: the older…, the more responsible…. Перевод: Моя сестра старше меня, но мой брат терпеливее её. Мама — самый общительный человек в семье. Чем старше становится мой брат, тем ответственнее он становится.
My sister is older than me, but my brother is more patient than she is. My mum is the most sociable person in our family. The older my brother gets, the more responsible he becomes.
