- much + сравнительная степень + than the Physics exam. easy → easier (y → i): much easier than.
- getting … and … — «становится всё лучше и лучше»: сравнительная степень повторяется. good → better: better and better.
- The … the … — конструкция «чем… тем…»: the sooner we leave, the sooner we'll get home (оба раза сравнительная степень с the): The sooner we leave, the sooner we'll get home.
- «No one else could beat him» — он лучший из всех, значит превосходная степень: the fastest runner.
