a) Read the rules in the theory box. We use will to make predictions about the future based on what we think or imagine. We often begin our sentence with the words: I think, I’m sure, I believe. I think life will be very different in 2100. We use the Present Simple after if and when, not the Future Simple. if/when + Present Simple. If/When I go to Spain, I will take lots of photographs. NOT: If/When I will go to Spain, ... . b) List the predictions in the texts. Which are affirmative/negative?
Brad «If we have flying cars, there won’t be any traffic jams» после if стоит Present Simple have, а в результате — Future Simple won’t be. Это соответствует правилу рамки.
Affirmative: Life in
Negative: We won’t be able to live on the earth anymore. Lots of animals and plants won’t exist anymore. You won’t have to go to school if you don’t want to. There won’t be any traffic jams. There won’t be any petrol left. The new fuel won’t cause pollution.
Jake adds that he is not sure everyone will have enough money for a holiday on the moon.
