We were — «мы были» в комнате. . My new game — одна игра, поэтому was. . Peter — один человек, поэтому was the winner — «был победителем». . I was — Нил был в гостиной. . There was a film — по телевизору шёл один фильм. . They were — клоуны были смешными; they относится к clowns. . Yesterday was — вчера был замечательный день. Иллюстрация подтверждает игру вдвоём утром и просмотр фильма после обеда.
