1 Make sentences, as in the example. Make any necessary changes.

• something/make calls with (mobile phone)

Строим определение: слово из скобок + is + a/an + нужное слово + относительное слово + пояснение.
Выбор относительного слова:
• who — для людей (someone);
• which / that — для животных и предметов (animal, something, book);
• where — для места (place).
- A kangaroo [ˌkæŋɡəˈruː] is an animal which (that) lives in Australia. Глагол lives с -s, так как which относится к единственному числу (an animal).
- A dentist is someone who fixes people's teeth. «Кто?» — человек, значит who.
- A cinema is a place where you can see films. Для места — where.
- A firefighter is someone who puts out fires (put out — «тушить»).
- A mobile phone is something (that) you can make calls with. Предлог with ставим в конце, а that можно опустить: относительное слово — дополнение придаточного.
- A key is something (that) you can open and lock doors with.
- A dictionary is a book which (that) helps you spell correctly. Относительное слово — подлежащее придаточного, его опустить нельзя; helps с -s.
A kangaroo is an animal which lives in Australia.
A dentist is someone who fixes people's teeth.
A cinema is a place where you can see films.
A firefighter is someone who puts out fires.
A mobile phone is something you can make calls with.
A key is something you can open and lock doors with.
