- The signal is poor (плохой сигнал) — smart phone (смартфон): сигнал сети принимает телефон.
- The viewfinder is cracked (видоискатель треснул) — digital camera (цифровой фотоаппарат): видоискатель — окошко, в которое смотрят, снимая. Подходит и digital video camera.
- The headphones are missing (нет наушников) — MP
player: наушники нужны плееру. - There is a virus on my hard drive (вирус на жёстком диске) — laptop (ноутбук): жёсткий диск и вирусы есть у компьютера.
- The lens is scratched (объектив поцарапан) — digital video camera (видеокамера): объектив есть у камеры (также подходит и фотоаппарат).
b) Рассказываем о поломке в Past Simple (I dropped, it broke, I took it to…), по образцу A и B:
